Participation policy and Agreement
Article 1. Definitions of Terms 1. “Exhibitor (Participating Company)" refers to the company, association, and entity submitting the application for participation in the exhibition. 2. "Exhibition" refers to BIOPLUS INTERPHEX KOREA 2021 3. “Host” refers to “Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization”. 4. “Organizer” refers to “Reed Exhibitions Korea”. Article 2. Application and Contract Application (contract) must be submitted through Organizer. Article 3. Allotment of Exhibition Space 1. Based on the order of down payment, scale of participation, whether a returning participant, composition of the exhibition, and nature of exhibited products, the organizer allocates space to the participating companies within the exhibition hall. 2. On special occasions, the organizer may change the space allocated to the exhibitors as long as it is before the preparation period. 3. Such changes are under the discretion of the organizer, and exhibitors cannot request compensation thereof. Article 4. Exhibit Hall Management 1. Exhibitors must display stated exhibits, and locate permanent staff in the booths. 2. Activities of exhibitors are limited within the allocated space. The organizer may limit harmful actions to other exhibitors, excessive noise, and divided use of the same booth with other companies, and exhibits disagreeing with the nature of the exhibition. 3. Exhibitors may not assign all or part of the already allocated exhibition area to a third party without the approval of the organizer. 4. The exhibitor shall not make changes, such as painting on the floor, ceiling, or column wall of the exhibition room, and shall indemnify the organizer for damages through proper measures such as restoration of the original. Article 5. Participation Fee Payment Procedure 1. The exhibitor should pay 50% of the participating expenses within 7 days of submission of the participation application for the down payment. And, the last 50% should be paid by May 31st, 2021. 2. If the exhibitor fails to pay the balance on time, the organizer may terminate the entry contract, in which case the exhibitor may not claim the return of the contract for the participation fee already paid. Article 6. Cancellation & Refund 1. Failure to complete all payments by the date specified will result in an automatic cancellation, and the deposit will not be refunded. 2. In events that exhibitor decides to cancel their participation, the following penalty needs to be paid to the organizer. If the exhibitor has already paid the registration fee in full, the penalty will be deducted from it. - Cancellation 60 days or more before the opening date : 80% of total exhibition fee - Cancellation between 60 and 30 days before the opening date : 100% of total exhibition fee - Cancellation 30 days or less before the opening date : No refund Article 7. Cancellation or Amendments of the Fair 1. Organizer shall be responsible for a complete refund if the organizer initiated the cancellation. 2. Organizer shall not be liable for any loss, damage or delay resulting from natural disasters or any circumstances, which shall make it impossible or inadvisable for the organizer to hold the exhibition at the time and place provided, and the organizer reserves the right to re-schedule the exhibition. Article 8. Installation 1. Exhibitors shall install all the items in the allocated space at the appointed time and if not he/she will be subjected to all necessary payments incurred due to the delay. 2. Selection of all device manufacturers is limited to those registered in the COEX. Article 9. Dismantling The exhibitor shall dismantle all the items within the appointed period, and if not he/she will be subjected to all necessary payments incurred due to the delay. Article 10. Security & Insurance 1. Organizer shall have the authority to control the attendance administration. 2. The organizer shall not be responsible for any loss, theft or damage by fire or injury of any nature to any person or article. 3. The exhibitor shall be fully responsible for any damages and/or losses to the public when necessary. Article 11. Fire-safety Terms and Conditions 1. Under the Fire Services Act, all installation items and materials have to be nonflammable or so treated. 2. The organizer reserves the right to request the Exhibitor to rectify any fire prevention violations. Article 12. Supplementary Terms and Conditions Organizers have the authority to establish supplementary regulations. Article 13. Resolution of Disputes Disputes between exhibitors and the organizer will be arbitrated by the Korea Commercial Arbitration Board, and their resolution will be binding to both parties.
